A teacher was having a vocabulary lesson with her class.<\/p>\n
She stood in front of the room and said:<\/p>\n
“Can anyone name something that ends with ‘tor’ and eats things?”<\/p>\n
Immediately, Tommy raised his hand.<\/p>\n
“Alligator!”<\/p>\n
The teacher smiled.<\/p>\n
“Very good, Tommy! That’s a big word.”<\/p>\n
Next, Sarah raised her hand.<\/p>\n
“Predator.”<\/p>\n
“Excellent!” the teacher replied.<\/p>\n
“Another big word.”<\/p>\n
Then Little Johnny shot his hand into the air.<\/p>\n
He was grinning from ear to ear.<\/p>\n
The teacher hesitated.<\/p>\n
Johnny had a reputation.<\/p>\n
Whenever he smiled like that, trouble usually followed.<\/p>\n
Still, she sighed and said:<\/p>\n
“Okay, Johnny. What’s your answer?”<\/p>\n
Johnny stood up proudly.<\/p>\n
“Vibrator.”<\/p>\n
The classroom exploded with laughter.<\/p>\n
The teacher nearly dropped her book.<\/p>\n
“JOHNNY!”<\/p>\n
she shouted.<\/p>\n
“That’s completely inappropriate!”<\/p>\n
Johnny looked confused.<\/p>\n
“What?”<\/p>\n
The teacher crossed her arms.<\/p>\n
“What makes you think a vibrator eats things?”<\/p>\n
Johnny shrugged.<\/p>\n
“Well, my mom had one, and I heard my dad say, ‘That thing ate two batteries in one night!'”<\/p>\n
The class erupted.<\/p>\n
The teacher sat down.<\/p>\n
